Who: Pat Ferrucci, former Register entertainment editor. Pat came to the Register in 2004 to run the Weekend section and write about music. He started Making a Mix in 2004. Pat left the paper and the beautiful state that is Connecticut in 2010, so he could pursue a Ph.D. in media sociology at the University of Missouri. He misses the paper and Connecticut.

Bogalusa a hot spot for arson fires

As the sole state Fire Marshal’s Office investigator for Washington, St. Tammany and Tangipahoa parishes since immediately after Hurricane Katrina struck in 2005, Jason Johnston has checked out a lot of fires, and he’s been paying attention. As a young man who grew up in Bogalusa and still has relatives in town, he’s also noticed a few things about fires in the city.
