Question by Cali girl 76408237: Are there any museums in New York that are FREE on a Wednesday or July 1?

I am going to NYC next week, Wed. July 1, and would like to go to some museums. Does anybody know if there are museums that are free on that day or offer discounts on Wednesdays and/or the first of every month?

If you go to the Met, it's on donation basis, so you could give less than the suggested price.
