Patricia Sheridan's Breakfast With ... Larry the Cable Guy

Standup comic "Larry the Cable Guy" is just a good ol' boy trying to navigate the world beyond his pickup truck. The character is the creation of Dan Whitney, 48, who started doing standup in 1985. "Larry the Cable Guy" was just part of his act until he realized it could be the act. Once he permanently donned the sleeveless shirts and introduced the Southern accent his career took off.

Bubblemania: Comedy with a Drip! Family Fun at the Warner Theatre, March 5

TORRINGTON â€" Comic bubble artist, Casey Carle will bring his “eye-popping, belly-laughing, fun-filled bubble extravaganza!” to the Warner’s Nancy Marine Studio Theatre on Saturday, March 5 for two shows at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Fascinating programme of opera

THE New London Opera Group’s eighth annual spring concert will take place at Louth Playgoers’ Riverhead Theatre on Saturday at 7.30pm. The first half of the programme will be a performance of Arthur Sullivan’s one-act comic opera, The Zoo.
